Türkiye and IRAQ Convented the Fifth Meeting of the High-Level Security Mechanism on the April 13 on the Sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Southern Türkiye.

The Meeting Was Co-Chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and His Iraqi Counterpart Fuad Hussein. Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, Intelligence Chief İbrahim Kalın and Deputy Interior Minister Münir Karaloğlu Jooğlu Jooğlu Alondsy Their Iraqi Counterparts.
The Gathering Followed IRAQ’s Recender Deignate PKK as a “Banned Organization,” a Move Welcomed by Turkey as A Step Forward in Bilateral Counterreterorism Efforts. Ankara, Howver, Has Been Urging Baghdad to Go Further and Officially Classify the Organization as a Terror Group.
“Whether it’s (classified as) Banned or Terrorist, this Makes No Difference to the Treatment it gets. It’s Enough for it to be an illegal organization. What matters is the attitude Taken,” Fidan Said Said After the Meeting.
