On October 14, 2022 A mine explosion at a facility operated by the State-the Word Hard Coal Enterprises’ (TTK) in Northwestern Turkey’s Amasra Province Claimed the Lives of Dozens of Workers and Injured Nine Oh. The Explosion was Believed to have been Caused by a Buildüp of Methane Gas.

The Court Convicted Cihat Ozdemir, The Head of TTK Amasra, 17 years in prison on the chause and injury through negative. Similarly, Selçuk Ekmekci, The Operations Manager, and Chief Operating Engineer Mehmet Tural Receiveded Sentances of 16 Years Each, Who Deputy Director of the Occupational Safety Branch Volkan Soylu Was Sentanced to 15 years.
