“2030 Industrial Investments Promotion Program with the Strategy of Industry and Technology” was held at the Presidential Complex with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Following the speeches of President Erdoğan and Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, thanks to the companies related to the investments to be supported within the scope of HIT-30 program were given.
In this context, the details of the production campus to be established in Türkiye for Chery brand cars were announced.
Chery stakeholders will establish an R & D center for mobility technologies with the facilities that will realize the production of new generation electric vehicles and its parts in Samsun. A total of 1 billion dollars will be employed by more than 5 thousand people with investments targeted.
Investment also announced in BYD
Last year, an agreement of approximately 1 billion dollars for investment in Türkiye was signed between Chinese BYD company, the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer and the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
With this investment, it is envisaged to establish an R & D center for sustainable mobility technologies with an annual electric and rechargeable hybrid automobile production facility with a capacity of 150 thousand vehicles. The facility, which aims to start production in 2026, is planned to provide direct employment up to 5 thousand people.
