The main opposition Republican Turkish Party (CTP), the Socialist Democracy Party (TDP), the United Cyprus Party (BKP), the New Cyprus Party (YKP), and the People’s Party through independence.
Political parties and organizations that support the action, especially KTOEÖS and KTÖS, demand that the headscarf in high schools throughout the country is banned for allegedly a “political symbol”.
Change of Regulation from the Council of Ministers
Last week, Selma Eylem, the President of the KTÖS, one of the groups demonstrating in front of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia, made discourses targeting Türkiye and the Embassy.

Minister Çavuşoğlu, who criticized the words targeting the Turkish Embassy in the trade union actions, said, “Nobody to the representatives of the homeland, ‘Go Home.’ It is our duty to respond to it if they do not say that they can not say. ” he said.
