With the transfer of the TCDD area of Pendik Municipality, the museum project gained momentum. Within the scope of the restoration works led by the Mayor of Pendik Ahmet Cin, it is aimed to protect the historical building and bring it to the city. Built in 1910, the former TCDD Lodging, which was the 2nd degree registered historical building status, comes to life again with the restoration works that started in August 2024. Located on Pendik Hat Boyu Street, this structure is organized as part of the Pendik City Museum, which will shed light on the history of the city.
The documents to be exhibited in the museum will be old maps, photographs and official documents about Pendik’s past.

During the restoration process, a love letter of 1964 was found on the old walls of the building. The letter ‘Ayten’ and ‘Yıldıray’ is carried by the emotional traces of that period to the present day. The letter examined by experts will be among the historical documents to be exhibited in the museum.
