Developed at Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, “High Performance New Stainless Steel with Radiation Protection feature” was registered by the Turkish Patent and Brand Institution and was entitled to patent. This innovative material is considered an important step to increase security in nuclear power plants.
This invention, which is entitled to patent by the Turkish Patent and Brand Institution, has a great importance with its potential to be used in Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant. This steel, which attracts attention with its high durability and radiation protection features, will increase the safety of the power plants and will help prevent the environmentaling radiation leaks that damage the environment. This innovative material will be included in the critical structural components that can be used during the construction and operation of nuclear power plants and will make a significant contribution to security and environmental protection.

In addition, we aim to introduce this technology to the world with international cooperation. We want to contribute to the technology export of our country.”
