Economic Management, Eastern Black Sea Project (DOKAP) Action Plan Information and Consultation Meeting and this year’s second Economy Coordination Board (ECK) meeting met with journalists.
At the meeting, on a question about the contract negotiations concerning the 600 thousand workers in the public sector, Minister Işıkhan said that public collective bargaining processes and the preparation of the framework protocol within this scope is a process that should be carried out in a multilateral and very sensitive way.
Reminding that Türk-İş and Hak-İş presented the demands of Hak-İş, Işıkhan stated that on April 16, the first meeting of the parties was held by the Turkish Heavy Industry and Service Sector Public Employers’ Union (TÜHİS).
Emphasizing that the process continued during the talks, Işıkhan said:
“A new meeting will be held on April 24. We are carrying out the process with sensitivity within this framework. I think it is too early to say something right now. We have the responsibility of coordination as the ministry. Here will be understood to a certain extent on the figures to be brought by the two sides. Especially wages, personal rights, social assistance. Inside, each substance is evaluated finely, the process is progressing in this way. “
